A Stan. original feature film, THE SECOND is a psychological thriller starring Rachael Blake, Susie Porter and Vince Colosimo, which was filmed in Queensland and posted in TPL’s Brisbane facility.
Written by Stephen Lance and co-produced by Lance and Leanne Tonkes, ‘The Second’ sees TPL’s founder and managing director, Steve Cooper, return to the editing suite. As well as being attracted by the compelling script, Coops was excited to work with director Mairi Cameron on her debut feature. TPL was also pleased to partner as an investor on the film, as well as providing full picture and sound post, with a stunning score from Ryan Walsh, recorded with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and striking visuals enhanced by colourist Olivier Fontenay in our Resolve grading theatre.
Financed by Screen Queensland as part of a joint initiative with Stan, ‘The Second’ will be the streaming platform’s first original feature and will open in theatres on July 5, 2018, before becoming available to view on Stan on July 20, 2018.
